How long have you been doing CrossFit and why?

I have been doing CrossFit for about four years. After getting out of the Army, I was looking for something to challenge me physically and mentally, and I found that in CrossFit. I am drawn to the constant set of new challenges CrossFit throws at you; it’s never boring!

What is your favorite part about coaching?

Coaching is a new endeavor for me, but I had some amazing coaches in my life, and I draw on them for inspiration. My favorite coaching moment is when it all comes together for an athlete, the “light-bulb” moment. 

Favorite cheat meal:

My favorite cheat meal is anything covered in cheese.

Life outside of the gym:

My life outside the gym is never dull. I race front-wheel-drive cars, a dangerous hobby that I love. When I am not racing, you can find me outdoors, backpacking, and camping with my kids.
